Oracle is adding a component for creating sales proposals to a new version of its Oracle Sales software scheduled to be announced next week, the company said.
The new component, called Oracle Proposals, is meant to cut down the time a sales representative works on drafting sales proposals by offering templates to generate customer-ready sales proposals more quickly, Oracle's public relations firm said in a brief statement.
Oracle Sales is part of Oracle's E-Business Suite, the company's enterprise applications suite. Other components of Oracle's software for sales force automation include Oracle Quoting, Oracle Field Sales, Oracle Incentive Compensation, Oracle Sales Offline and Oracle TeleSales.
Representatives of Redwood Shores, California-based Oracle declined to specify pricing or availability of the new software ahead of next week's announcement.
