IT network specialist Computer Sciences Corporation has appointed Mike Shove as its new managing director and chief executive of Australian operations.
Shove is currently vice president of the company's enterprise business solutions division in Australia and replaces George Bell, who has been named president of CSC's European operations.
CSC international chairman and chief executive Van Honeycutt said Shove had the experience and broad industry knowledge required for the position.
Shove said the Australian market represented an extremely broad range of opportunities in a highly competitive landscape. "As the local representative of a 90,000-employee-strong global IT powerhouse, I look forward to delivering the best of both worlds -- local relationships and knowledge combined with global best practices and a deep pool of resource skills," he said.
The company specialises in systems design and integration, IT and business process outsourcing and applications software development.
