WorldCom has appointed Trevor Duff, its current Australian managing director, as the new acting managing director of ISP OzEmail.
In an internal e-mail sent by WorldCom management to OzEmail staff on January 16, WorldCom management said Duff will take the OzEmail reins in addition to his present responsibilities at WorldCom.
Duff will report to Bruce Willey, WorldCom senior vice president Asia Pacific. OzEmail is wholly-owned by WorldCom.
This is the third change in as many months for the top position at OzEmail, which is wholly-owned by WorldCom. Current managing director Malcolm Smith was appointed to the helm in November last year, following former MD Justin Milne's decision to take a position as chief of broadband services at Telstra.
According to sources at OzEmail, the reasons for Smith's departure are unknown.
