McAfee VirusScan for Home Users Scores 100% in AV-Test.Org Anti-Virus Tests

<p>Sydney, 1 December 2004 - McAfee, Inc., the leading provider of intrusion prevention solutions, today announced that it has received the highest marks possible for detecting viruses in recent independent tests conducted by AV-Test.org, a highly accredited independent research organisation specialising in the IT security industry.</p>
<p>According to the test results, McAfee's VirusScan for home users detected and removed 100% of viruses "in the wild" tested against it. Results of the anti-virus testing can be viewed at http://www.av-test.org . AV-Test.org collaborates with the Otto-Von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, Germany.</p>
