Australian-founded ecommerce platform provider Bigcommerce has taken the wraps of a new offering targeting high-volume retailers.
The company has launched 'Bigcommerce Enterprise' it announced today. Customers using the hosted platform include Samgung, Cetaphil, Enfamil, Gibson, Marvel, Pergo, Schwinn and Ubisoft, a statement from Bigcommerce said.
The platform integrates real-time customer analytics, compliance with security standards including PCI, and support for integration with a range of ERP systems and other enterprise applications.
"Our enterprise platform delivers the functionality and scalability merchants need to compete in the big leagues, while avoiding the waste associated with managing an overly-complex, on-premise or proprietary solution," the company's CEO and co-founder, Eddie Machaalani, said in a statement.
The company, which was founded in 2009, late last month announced its first acquisition. Bigcommerce acquired payments company Zing
"The industry has reached an inflection point where retailers of all sizes want and expect to deliver next-gen experiences, such as in-store pickup and ship-from-store, without the complexity of switching between multiple back office tools,” Machaalani said at the time.
Zing has "done a remarkable job extending the Bigcommerce platform in a way that enables our merchants to do this and more, and I have full confidence their expertise and IP will further advance and expand our omnichannel strategy."
Bigcommerce has more than 85,000 customers on its ecommerce platform. The company has around 370 employees and has processed over $5 billion in total sales.
