Business software vendor SAP AG expects to report strong third-quarter sales when it publishes its results Oct. 16, it said Wednesday in a statement to the Frankfurt stock exchange.
Following an initial review of its third-quarter results, which ended Sept. 30, the Walldorf, Germany, vendor said software revenue for the period will be around Euro 430 million (US$499 million), similar to levels reached in the same period the year before and the second quarter of 2003.
A company spokesperson said that when viewed seasonally, revenue in the third quarter is typically lower than the second. SAP doesn't give quarterly guidance figures.
The company expects total revenue to be approximately Euro 1.65 billion, compared to Euro 1.70 billion for the same period a year ago, according to the statement.
