Integ acquires Queensland’s Lanlink to extend national communication solutions offer

 • 22 October, 2003 08:52

Sydney, 22 October 2003: Integ Communication Solutions, a leading Australian-owned integrator of voice, data and IP business communication solutions, today announced that it has acquired Lanlink, a Queensland company specialising in data networking.

Integ CEO Ian Poole said the acquisition allows Integ to expand its offering in the Queensland market and enhance its data networking capabilities nationally. It also enables Lanlink to increase its range of solutions.

“The solutions that the two companies offer are highly complementary. Integ is strong in voice, contact centre and IP telephony solutions, while Lanlink has particular strengths in data networking applications and support, “Mr Poole said.

“The acquisition of Lanlink expands our offer to business and government. It fits our strategy of building a comprehensive data networking portfolio to complement our existing range of communication and business applications.

“Although we have supported companies in Queensland for some years now, combining with Lanlink will bolster Integ’s Queensland presence and allow us to offer more to that market. We will now have an extensive portfolio of products and services.”

Mr Poole said the acquisition also had significant benefits for Integ’s parent company, the ASX-listed UXC Limited.

“Lanlink adds to the synergies within UXC’s Business Solutions Group and further strengthens UXC’s service capabilities.”

Lanlink General Manager Ken Louis said that becoming part of Integ was a great opportunity for Lanlink to expand the market for its products and services.

“Integ’s expertise in voice will allow us to grow our market in Queensland and its presence in the southern states gives us the opportunity to deliver solutions to customers in other parts of Australia,” Mr Louis said.

Initially Lanlink will continue to operate under its own name but will eventually be rebranded under the Integ banner.

Integ’s Brisbane operation will relocate to Lanlink’s premises in Coorparoo. All senior management of Lanlink will remain with the company.
