SYDNEY, Australia – Optima Technology Solutions (ASX:OPI), Australia’s largest PC manufacturer, has appointed William Hamzey as its new Channel Sales Manager to manage and grow its reseller business.

Hamzey has worked for Optima in various business development roles for nearly six years, delivering effective technology solutions to the government, education and channel markets. In his new role he will develop and implement the strategies required to strengthen Optima’s reseller base and streamline its channel operations.

“Optima has a dedicated, nationwide reseller network, which is key to the company’s success in the local market,” said Hamzey. “I’m looking forward to working closely with our Business Partners to improve channel communications, processes and procedures, making it even easier to do business with Optima.”

Hamzey moved into the channel market in 2004 when he took up the role of Optima’s Channel Business Development Manager. Responsible for recruiting new Channel Business Partners for the company, he successfully managed to substantially increase Optima’s reseller base.

“Our resellers are our business partners - they are essential to the growth of our business and the fulfillment of our ‘3x3’ vision of achieving $300 million revenue within the next three years,” said Cornel Ung, Executive Chairman and Managing Director, Optima Technology Solutions.

“William has an in depth understanding of the channel. As Channel Sales Manger he will effectively maintain our strong channel partnerships and continue to expand our active reseller base, further perpetuating Optima’s positive channel revenue growth.”
