Commerce One names new execs

Commerce One has appointed Neil Hudspith as general manager in the Asia-Pacific region.

In his new role Hudspith will be responsible for uniting the company's marketing, solutions, services and sales organisations, extending the company's capabilities and driving growth across the region.

With more than 20 years experience in the IT industry, he was in executive management roles at Lotus, Hudspith has also held management positions with Gulf Computers, Prime Computers, and Xerox. Hudspith reports directly to Robert Kimmitt and his appointment is effective immediately.

The company has created new positions and appointed Peter Kwan, former vice president and CFO, Gateway Asia Pacific, as vice president and CFO, Asia Pacific. He will be responsible for all finance related activities for the Commerce One group of companies in the region.

Kwan has more than 20 years of senior finance experience with multinational and IT related companies including: Digital Equipment Corporation, Maxtor, Intel, Reuters, and Hewlett-Packard. Kwan will report to Hudspith.
