FrontRange Solutions has retrenched five staff from its Sydney-based Asia-Pacific headquarters.
Archie Wilson, Asia-Pacific vice president, said the five staff worked in "back office functions" and the move was part of the company's normal "refreshment process" to rebalance headcount.
"We are growing at about 100 per cent per annum and are continually looking at functions which can be handled more effectively," he said.
Wilson said the company, a privately held provider of customer relationship management, internal service and support and e-business solutions, is looking to hire "as many as there are good people" in the sales and marketing area.
"We are still hiring, in fact we have a top flight business development manager joining us next week. It is business as usual for us," Wilson said.
With 50 staff in Australia, and 15 in Singapore, the company is very keen to put in more sales and marketing power, according to Wilson.
FrontRange has recently entered a business partnership agreement with IBM, and a major distribution deal with Tech Pacific.
