PwC, Watchfire team up on Web privacy

PricewaterhouseCoopers and Watchfire Corporation have announced a co-developed privacy management software solution.

WebCPO uses Watchfire's Web experience management technology to provide automated, ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting of potential privacy compliance issues across Internet, intranet and extranet Web sites.

Under the terms of the alliance, PwC will license the software as part of its privacy and security risk management and assurance services.

The software is designed for large, multi-user environments and sends real-time alerts to key privacy officials within the organisation via wireless devices, e-mail and network broadcasts, informing them when changes are made to privacy-sensitive areas of the Web site.
