Worldwide travel agents Flight Centre has signed a three-year voice and data deal with Telstra.
The deal, worth nearly $30 million, uses Telstra's wide area network-based data solution and voice package.
It will link the company's stores and call centres to the state offices and national office in Brisbane.
Anthony Grigson, Flight Centre Australian business general manager, said the company's 3000 consultants will have instant access to reservation information and changes to supplier offerings. "They will be able to undertake internal business-to-business e-commerce transactions and have access to the Internet."
Flight Centre was unavailable for further comment by deadline.
