Regional vice president and managing director of Ariba, Dr Mukesh Aghi, stepped down from the helm at Ariba Asia Pacific on Wednesday, making way for a new Asia Pacific head, Laurence Wee, a former IBM senior executive.
Aghi will take up a US posting as vice president of worldwide sales operations of B2B e-commerce platform provider Ariba.
Effective immediately, Wee will driveAriba's regional growth in B2B and collaboration software markets.
He was previously general manager of industry services for IBM GSA, managing the business unit across government, education, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, a company statement said. Wee brings 20 years of high-end IT experience to the role, and held various executive positions with IBM.
