Network Gaming scores machine uptime with Getronics’ support and SLA agreement

Sydney, 28 October 2003 – Getronics Australia has signed an additional three-year contract with Tasmanian-based Network Gaming, to provide on site gaming machine maintenance and installation services for over 2,000 machines and more than 200 Keno terminals located throughout 156 pubs and clubs across the state. The agreement, worth in excess of $4 million, extends Getronics’ seven year relationship with Network Gaming (a member of the Federal Hotels Group).

Getronics won the contract following an extensive and competitive tender process. It will be responsible for protecting the Tasmanian poker machines and Keno players from terminal, printer and monitor outages during the operating hours of 9.00am to 10.00pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The contract also includes the provision of helpdesk support.

Network Gaming has achieved a reduction in total cost of operation by making Getronics its single point of contact for support and maintenance. With daily, ongoing technical assistance provided by 15 field maintenance engineers based in Hobart, Launceston and Ulverstone, Getronics will also provide IMAC (Installations, Moves, Adds and Changes) services.

“Machine uptime is critical to the success of our business,” said John Mortensen, General Manager, Network Gaming. “In continuing to employ Getronics’ local team of engineers as our sole IT services providers, we have not only reduced our business operating costs, but are confident that our gaming equipment will remain fully operational. Apart from offering competitive pricing, Getronics has proven capability in understanding and supporting the gaming industry and we are assured that it will continue to provide us with a premium service.”
