Adacel scores first in US aviation market

Specialised software engineering company Adacel Technologies has won a contract to provide an integrated air traffic control tower and radar simulator to the University of North Dakota Aerospace Foundation.

The $A2 million simulator will be the first of its kind in the US, according to Silvio Salom, Adacel's managing director. "It is being seen as a first in this market and will gain Adacel significant exposure in the United States as the premier provider of air traffic control tower and radar simulation systems," he added.

Adacel already has software and systems installed in three air traffic control simulation centres in North America, including NASA's Future Flight Central at the Ames Research Centre.
