Andrew Munro has been appointed Australian and New Zealand manager of e-business implementation solutions company Borland.
Munro's appointment follows the opening of the company's Asia Pacific subsidiary in Sydney on Thursday.
Seven other new senior professionals based in Sydney, India, Singapore and Korea will join Munro in managing Borland's new regional operations.
Munro, a former systems integrator with Praxa for 10 years, will manage the local and NZ sales teams, and develop marketing plans and budget targets for the AP.
In other senior AP appointments, former Microsoft Australia manager of enterprise partner programs, Michael Hargreaves, joins Borland as AP marketing director, and will be responsible for driving the vendor's regional marketing strategy.
Borland's new enteprise product manager is Bruce Isbister, who will own sales training initiatives and executive management of enterprise products in the region.
Chris Mendes joins the company as practice manager, managing all Australian Professional Services Organisation (PSO) activities. Mendes' appointment will allow PSO director for Asia Pacific Terry Versace to focus on building PSO across the region, Borland said.
Darryl Kaplin has been appointed legal counsel for Borland Asia Pacific, who will coordinate all legal matters throughout the region.
Two local channel managers were also appointed to the company.
Borland Asia Pacific recruited its first senior management executives in India, Singapore and Korea.
