Vulnerability: XP Universal Plug and Play

The National Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC) advises Windows XP users to consider turning off XP's universal plug and play service to close a security hole.

The hole could lead to denial-of-service attacks and other intrusions. Microsoft have advised the hole also affects Windows 98, 98SE, and ME.
