Sprint confirms talks with Virgin for wireless services

Sprint Corp. has confirmed that its Sprint PCS Group is in talks with U.K.-based Virgin Group Ltd. over a possible mobile phone deal.

The two mobile phone companies are discussing the prospect of selling Virgin-branded wireless services and products in the U.S. using the network owned by Sprint PCS, though no definite agreement has been reached as of yet, Sprint said in a statement Thursday.

Virgin already has a similar agreement with One2One PLC in the U.K. where it resells mobile phone services over the One2One network under the Virgin brand name.
