Optus scores $65 million Fed Govt contract

Optus has won a $65 million telecommunications outsourcing contract with 'Cluster 3' Federal Government agencies.

Under the terms of the four-year agreement, the telco will provide a fully managed voice and data solution to 'Cluster 3' agencies, comprising the Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs, Australian Electoral Commission, IP Australia, Australian Surveying and Land Information Group, Australian Analytical Laboratories, IPS Radio and Space Services and sections of the Department of Finance and Administration.

Optus had previously provided managed data services to these agencies as a sub-contractor in an IT&T contract.

The managed voice and data solution will be delivered to around 485 sites across Australia.
