Nortel Networks Offers New Level of Support for Multi-National Customers

<p>LONDON Nortel Networks* [NYSE/TSX: NT] has launched an initiative that enables selected distribution and support “partners” to engage more closely with multi-national customers. By offering pan-regional fulfillment and maintenance capabilities, Nortel Networks “Global Customer Partner Initiative” allows these companies to act as a single point of contact for their customers across different regions in order to provide a consistent experience and improve productivity.</p>
<p>Nortel Networks Global Customer Partners include Ascom*, Damovo*, Equant* and NextiraOne* in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region; Damovo, Equant and Unisys* in the Caribbean and Latin America region; and 3D Networks* and Equant in the Asia Pacific region.</p>
<p>These Global Customer Partners offer customers a value-added service, enriching their portfolios and driving reduced management costs by developing closer business relationships aimed at building solutions that address specific needs while providing a consistent level of support.</p>
<p>Part of Nortel Networks channel strategy, this new initiative demonstrates Nortel Networks commitment to its Global Customer Partners. It gives them the tools to deliver integrated solutions with the level of service needed to transform the discrete voice and data networks of multi-national companies into more efficient, packet-based, converged voice and data networks.</p>
<p>Global Customer Partners were selected based on their pan-regional coverage, experience with Nortel Networks enterprise portfolio, and technical support capabilities across voice and data products. Each provides ‘real time’ response to customer needs with consistent pricing and service levels.</p>
