Compaq's marketing communications director William Calarese has resigned and will return to British Telecommunications as the head of its global brand alliance program for Asia-Pacific and South America.
Calarese leaves at the end of the month and Compaq is in the process of appointing a replacement, a spokesperson said.
Meanwhile, Tony Bill, previously the manager of Compaq's enterprise computing group, has had a change in role and is now charged with providing more visibility for ventures with Compaq partners and with its existing install base as the strategic marketing group manager, a spokesperson said.
The new position was created through growth in Compaq's enterprise sector, particularly in storage and the Alpha business. Two other positions, including product marketing, have been created and are expected to be filled shortly, the spokesperson said.
Bill said Compaq's outlook for the first half of next year was "quite bullish".
