iiNet customers affected by flooding in NSW will be offered a relief package by the internet service provider (ISP). The company is also extending the offer to customers of its ISP acquisitions Westnet, Netspace, AAPT, Internode and TransACT.
The relief package includes extended bill payment options with the waiving of associated fees and cancellation, without penalty, of the fixed line service and reservation of the customer’s telephone number for a period of three months.
In addition, affected customers will be offered a free phone connection to alternative accommodation while their house is uninhabitable and cancellation of any broadband or dialup internet service.
Once a customer has moved house, the company will install any ADSL internet service at the new premises for free within a 12 month period.
Telstra has previously announced a flood relief package for customers in New South Wales. Customers who don’t have a fixed-line service have received $50 of mobile credit.
The package also allows fixed-line residents a free call diversion to another fixed or mobile service of the customer's choice, regardless of the carrier.
