Global Technology Australia (GTA) has aligned with business solutions and digital content distributor Metyor Australia to provide hosted, back-end banking solutions and IT services to financial institutions.
GTA brings to the partnership its core product line Globus (banking software package) and a range of other banking and financial software products and services. Metyor, whose platform is based on Compaq hardware and Optus communications infrastructure, will provide the infrastructure support to build a network-outsourcing model for financial organisations.
The companies will target large and small-sized financial institutions like insurance companies and retail and merchant banks with back-end banking applications.
GTA has not disclosed the value of the contract, saying it would depend on the scope and size of financial services clients they could attract over the next few months.
