School SMS services company, MGM Wireless (ASX:MWR), has launched a new platform designed to help its clients keep up-to-date contact details for their students.
The system, Smartsync, maintains contact details for schools using the MGM Wireless Outreach SMS platform.
When a student's contact details get updated, it will automatically update the SMS records.
The system interoperates with the Outreach platform to allow messages to be sent on an individual, group or school-wide basis.
MGM Wireless executive chairman Mark Forunatow Smartsync system fills what is becoming an important niche.
“Today's family structures are more fluid than ever before,” he said. “Schools are typically having to keep track of several caregivers for each child who may have contact details that are subject to change.”
He said Smartsync is compatible with 44 of the student management databases in use by Australian education providers.
Outreach is a web-based messaging system hosted in an what Fortunatow said was an ISO certified, ASIO security cleared facility with three levels of redundant services.
MWR shares stayed flat on Thursday at $0.007.
