Australian financial services provider, Equity Trustees (EQT), has appointed Ryan Bessemer as its new head of business systems and information technology.
With approximately 19 years experience within the IT industry, Bessemer has previously worked for a number companies including Austock Group, Frigrite, and software developer Insight Enterprises (previously Software Spectrum International).
Bessemer will be responsible for ensuring the continuing upgrading of EQT’s technology systems and processes to both support business development and meet regulatory and client needs and expectations.
Managing director of EQT, Robin Burns, said the use of technology is essential for businesses offering services to other organisations in financial services as well as individual investors, and for helping to achieve maximum efficiency in business activities.
“Equity Trustees has made significant investment in business systems development over the last few years, and Ryan will play a key role in maintaining the performance of that investment and in implementing a long-term systems and technology plan,” Burns said in a statement.
