In brief: ComSuper seeks new IT manager

The successful candidate will head up plans to update the organisation's IT services

Australian Government business unit, ComSuper, is calling for applications to fill the role of IT manager for its IT Solutions Group.

According to the advertisement, the successful candidate will have strong people skills and experience in developing systems in order to play an instrumental role in the implementation of the services.

Answering to the CIO, the new IT manager will manage the team in the development and testing of applications, advise on the organisation’s IT needs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The organisation, which is responsible for the daily maintenance of a number of superannuation schemes for members of the Australian Public Service, participating employers and members of the Australian Defence Force, will also soon upgrade its IT services.

As reported by Computerworld Australia, Sydney's Randwick Council is also on the hunt for an IT manager to oversee a $2.5 million ICT budget and develop a 10-year ICT plan.
