Product identification software and hardware provider Matthews Intelligent Identification has launched its iDSnet networked labelling solution in the USA.
The product traceability solution is being distributed in the market by Matthews International.
Matthews managing director, Lester Nichol, said the iDSnet was developed in-house, entirely in Australia. It was launched locally last year.
The product aims to streamline coding and labelling development by integrating the printing machines through a server or central PCs.
“We saw a gap in the market where a solution was needed to simplify the management of [labelling] printers on the production line and to eliminate coding errors,” he said.
Ahead of the launch, Matthews showcased iDSnet at the Pack Expo packing and processing exhibition in Chicago last month. US consumer good manufacturers expressed a great deal of interest in the product, Nichol said.
The Victorian-headquartered Mathews also claims to be the first Australian company to offer label printer applicators for RFID labels.
