The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia is looking for online audience measurement (OAM) vendors.
One vendor will be selected as the preferred supplier for the planning, buying and reporting of OAM for a three year term.
The IAB is an international online advertising association. Online audience measurement examines web audiences by site, demographic profile and behaviour.
IAB Australia CEO Paul Fisher said it had reviewed a number of models for the provision of OAM in the Australian market before going to tender.
"It is clear that a standard OAM currency is one of the most significant contributors to the growth of online advertising and we have been working hard to assist industry to arrive at such a result," he said in a statement.
"While the primary aim of the process is to standardise online audience measurement in Australia, it will also be a significant step towards cross-platform measurement.”
The deadline for submissions is Friday, 17 December.
