In Brief: Asus appoints Australian branch founder Tsai as new MD

Ted Chen departs as vendor's first female country manager returns to the fold

Asus has welcomed back its Australian branch founder, Mia Tsai, as the new domestic managing director.

Tsai was the first female country manager for Asus between 2001 and 2004 and departed to launch her own company in the automotive industry.

She started back at the vendor on 26 July and takes over from previous managing director Ted Chen.

Both Chen and marketing manager, Carmen Li have left the company.

In a statement, Tsai described Asus as the “challenger brand” in the motherboard category in Australia.
