VHA boosts prepaid voice and data plans

Vodafone offers 10-fold data increase

Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA) has announced an overhaul of its Vodafone and 3 postpaid plans, claiming increases of headline value for contract plans and higher data allowances.

The altered plans, including Vodafone’s Single Business cap plan and both Vodafone and 3 Unlimited cap plans, will allow customers the choice of using their cap value on international voice call services.

Some plans will allow free ‘unlimited’ standard voice calls nationally to Vodafone and 3 handsets August, and will have a data allocation up to 10 times higher than previous offerings.

VHA is not the first telco to give its services a makeover, following the recent revamp of Telstra’s home bundles, nor is it the first to rehash the term ‘unlimited,’ which Optus used to describe some of its latest ADSL2+ broadband plans – a move that prompted the ACCC to launch legal action.
