This week, an agreement was made between Telstra and the NBN Co on the telco’s involvement with the National Broadband Network (NBN).
The deal, labelled a Financial Heads of Agreement deal, will see Telstra migrate its voice and broadband customers to the NBN, while decommissioning its copper network and cable broadband service. The question, however, is whether a structural separation of Telstra - which the Federal Government has proposed for some time - will be beneficial to Australians.
