Poll: Is cloud computing all it's hyped up to be?

Cloud computing is one of the biggest industry buzzwords, but is it worth the trouble?

Cloud computing is one of those industry terms that's being slung across meeting rooms, discussed in forums and talked about by big industry players. Over the last few weeks, we've been told that cloud computing is going to change the channel ecosystem, that Microsoft is building infrastructure and software around it and that doctors will soon be using it to get to patients.

It probably goes without saying that cloud computing is already used in your office, and if it isn't, that there's probably steps being taken to ensure that the office is cloud compatible in the future. However, the question is: Is cloud computing worth the trouble and is it all it is hyped up to be?
