Woodside Energy has re-signed CSC to supply it with infrastructure outsourcing and support services in a three-year, $30 million deal.
The arrangement will see CSC supply the oil and gas company with service desk, field services, problem management, change management, configuration management, and data centre hosting for the company’s Wintel, Unix and network services.
Woodside has also placed CSC on its panel of consulting and services providers to its SAP-based enterprise resource planning application.
In 2007, CSC had its contract for infrastructure outsourcing and support services renewed following a 12 month trial of CSC's services by Woodside.
CSC Australia president, Gavin Larkings, said the contract would help Woodside push ahead with its plans for further expansion in the north of Western Australia.
CSC's win is indicative of an upswing in the market for the services giant. In late April it announced a massive $78 million investment in a new Docklands, Melbourne facility to house 450 of its Victorian staff.
The month also saw the company pick up a three-year $4.3 million IT services contract with the Western Australia Department of Corrective Services for the supply of applications support for its prisoner database.
