Brings HP Integrity Virtual Server Environment to c-Class HP Integrity Virtual Machines is a soft partitioning and virtualization technology that provides operating systems isolation, shared CPU (with sub-CPU granularity), shared I/O, and automatic, dynamic resource allocation. A single HP Integrity server running HP Integrity Virtual Machines can create multiple virtual servers or machines, each with its own "guest" operating system instance with different operating system versions, applications and users. Each virtual machine hosts its own applications in a fully isolated environment. The physical resources of the HP Integrity server are shared among the virtual machines it hosts, based on demand and entitlement.
Compliments BladeSystem c-Class Multi-tier applications are enhanced with the addition of Integrity servers to c-Class. As an example, an application's database tier may be more appropriate on a HP-UX Integrity sever with application tiers running on x86 BladeSystem servers. c-Class infrastructure components are supported by the BL860c. I/O mezzanine cards as well as hard drives are interchangeable across both Integrity and x86 BladeSystem servers. Integrity and ProLiant servers can share the interconnect modules in the c-Class enclosures.
