Vendor's description: The PRIMERGY BX920 S1 server blade uses CPUs from the Intel processor 5500 series. Utilizing theQuickPath architecture and dedicated on-chip memory controllers, the CPUs of the Intel® Xeon® processor 5500 series easily exceed the capacities of the prior generation.

The BX920 S1 Server Blade has two slots for these processors, plus two hard disk bays, 9 DIMM slots for up to 144 GB DDR3 memory as well as two Dual-Channel Intel® 82575 Gigabit Ethernet Controllers. Two slots for I/O Mezzanine cards expand the network capabilities of this system. The BX920 S1 is ideal for physical and virtualized applications using hypervisors, such as VMware® ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V™, or Citrix XenServer™.

In addition, the PRIMERGY BX920 S1 server blades are equipped with our state-of-the-art integrated Remote Management Controller (iRMC S2) and, with their wide range of processor, disk and memory options, they provide IT managers with the performance and scalability they need for any data center application.
