UXC scores PM's voice services deal

Subsidiary will provide managed voice services to the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

UXC (ASX: UXC) has picked up a $2.5 million managed voice services deal with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

The three year deal will see UXC’s subsidiary Integ supply on site staff and facilitate system administration, user training, fixed line and mobile billing support, technical support, expansions and upgrades.

The voice network supports staff located in Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet’s headquarters in Barton, the Department of Climate Change in Canberra CBD as well as a number of other satellite government offices.

Integ CEO Ian Poole said managed services continued to represent a significant area of growth for the group.

“We are forecasting more than 25 per cent increase in our managed services business over the coming year as organisations continue to realise the benefits of outsourcing this layer of their ICT management to skilled and focused integrators,” Poole said in a statement.

The deal follows two big services contract wins for UXC last week which saw the company’s Skilltech Consulting Services unit pick up two new smart meter contracts worth $28.65 million.
