In brief:Telcoinabox and Telstra extend relationship

Telco wholesaler and franchiser expects deal to add $60m in revenue

Telccoinabox will gift a speed boost to most of its customers after signing a $100 million deal with Telstra Wholesale for fixed wire, GSM mobile and DSL services.

The deal, which is a 15-month extension of an existing arrangement, will see the telco wholesaler and franchisor revamp its DSL range to three offerings: 1.5Mbps, 8Mbps and 20Mbps.

In a statement, Telcoinabox chief executive officer, Paul Line, said the contract would add an additional $60 million in revenue to the $40 million business.

“The cost-savings achieved are significant and our business model is built around passing these cost savings directly on to our service providers who then pass them on to their customers. This way our customers continue to have a competitive advantage in the reseller market,” Line said in the statement.
