In Brief: Pie Networks signs NZ department

Second NZ customer for its Sponsored Service offering

Pie Networks (ASX:PIE) has announced that it has signed a New Zealand Government department for use of its Sponsored Services offering.

According to Pie Networks, the deal will allow the department’s end user customers to make free telephone calls to the department’s contact centre via Pie Network’s network of HotSpot Webphones.

The follows the company’s announcement in February that it had signed a commercial entity as the first customer in New Zealand to use the Sponsored Service.

In January Pie Networks announced its roll out of 69 second generation hotspot Webphones in Westfield and AMP shopping centres was 50 per cent complete.
