Australian businesses are being asked to fork-out up around $1300 by Google Australia to learn how to effectively use its Analytics and Web Optimizer products.
In a blog post, Google customer solutions engineer, Shyam Govardhan, said the goal of the seminar series was to reduce the number of website visitors “puking and leaving” local websites.
“If your New Year resolution is to reduce the number of people puking and leaving your site (also known as reducing the bounce rate), then you might be interested in some upcoming seminars that will help you learn, among other things, how to conduct landing page tests to increase visitor engagement and conversions,” he said.
The three seminars on offer are:
- Google Analytics - Introduction and User Training
- Google Analytics - Advanced Technical Implementation
- Google Website Optimizer - Landing Page Testing
Late last year, Google unveiled enhancements to its Google Analytics Data Export API, bolstering an advanced segmentation capability for examining the nuances of data.
Google Australia has also ramped up its recruitment and advertised 38 job vacancies at its headquarters in Sydney.
More information about the upcoming seminars can be found online.
Editor's note: Google has since confirmed the seminars are run by third-party Google certified instructors Mangold Sengers and amended its blog to reflect this after additional questions from Computerworld.
