Australians will be able to access comprehensive information about about 10,000 schools online from tomorrow.
The Federal Government’s My School website will publish and compare school performance based on facts such as the number of staff and students, the socio-economic status of the students, school attendance rates and year 12 attainment rates.
A school’s performance in the national literacy and numeracy testing will also be made available, enabling comparison with other schools.

“Every child only gets one chance at education. We want to make sure that the school system is offering a great education for every child in every school.”
The My School website is already available to school principals and will be available to the general public from 1am on January 28.
