TechnologyOne enters Scottish market

Glasgow’s public transport body to benefit the Australian company's software

TechnologyOne (ASX: TNE) has flexed its muscles in the European market, switching on its financial and procurement software in Scotland.

Glasgow’s public transport body, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT), chose the Australian software provider in 2008 to overhaul its financial system.

SPT director, Neil Wylie, said the company chose TechnologyOne because of the software’s reporting capabilities and responsiveness to the company’s requirements.

“The TechnologyOne system is easy to use, for both finance and non-finance people, and it has a modern look and feel,” he said. “However, by far and away the biggest win for us are the reporting features.

“Managers now receive information on their desktops much more quickly and they are able to drill down to the detail behind the reports.”

The first phase of the implementation is complete and SPT will now focus on rolling out asset management and timesheet applications across the company.
