Telstra consumer group managing director David Moffatt will leave the telco by the end of November.
In a statement, Telstra (ASX:TLS) CEO, David Thodey confirmed the news and said Glenice Maclellan would take on the role of acting Group Managing Director Telstra Consumer, effective immediately.
"David has been a highly valued leader of this company throughout a period of enormous change and I join all of my colleagues at Telstra in wishing him all the very best for the future," Thodey said in the statement.
"David has played a leadership role at Telstra during a time that has seen a fundamental shift in the way our customers are using telecommunications services, including massive take up of mobile services, broadband, wireless broadband, and Foxtel. David has driven significant growth and change in our consumer retail business with the introduction of the Next G network and the new T[life] retail environment."
Moffat also said he wished the Telstra staff success in the future in the statement.
The departure comes as Telstra continues to fight its potential separation as wished for by the Federal Government.
