Former IT journalist Tony Sarno has joined AOL Australia as the company boosts its executive team to cope with solid growth. Sarno, who has taken the job of director of content and programming, joined the company from the f2 online arm of John Fairfax Holdings, where he was director of business directories content.
Other appointments at AOL include Caroline Dempsey as sales and marketing director, Julian Donohue as operations director, Jennifer Anderson as legal and business affairs director, and Lyndall Jones as human resources director.
Dempsey has held a number of roles in marketing and brand management with Telstra, Myprice, Kellogg Australia and Nestle Australia.
Donohue has also spent time at f2, with responsibility for building online infrastructure, and immediately before joining AOL was CEO of yourorganiser.
Anderson has worked for several corporate law firms as well as for ANZ and BHP, while Jones has worked for Westpac and has held positions in the fast food and retailing sectors.
