Linux mainframes get storage links

IBM Corp. announced on Friday that its Enterprise Storage Server can be connected to Linux-based mainframes. So corporate users now running Linux-based applications can store and integrate information in a number of different formats on their key server platforms, and they can share that data across different storage environments, according to the announcement. An IBM official described this as the first phase of Linux-enabling all of its storage products.
