Internode wireless booster hits shelves

Broadband company cuts prices of some of its modems by $50

Internode has released an antenna to boost the connection of its NodeMobile Data wireless broadband service.

Priced at $29.95, the Panorama 3G antenna is designed to strengthen the connection for customers who struggle to use NodeMobile Data at full strength in their home or office.

In addition to the antenna, the broadband company has also announced price cuts to its E160E 3G modem and E1762 HSDPA/HSUPA modems of $50.

Internode product manager Jim Kellett said the lower 3G modem prices reflected the improved strength of the Australian dollar, since its NodeMobile Data service was introduced in April.

“We’ve had great uptake of this service since it was launched and we expect this move to accelerate its adoption,” Kellett said.

Internode’s 3G NodeMobile Data service starts from $14.95 a month with a 500 megabyte data quota. Its $39.95 plan offers a five-gigabyte quota. The modems and antenna are available now on Internode's Web site.
