Chris Pennington has been appointed managing director of the Australian and New Zealand operations of British software developer Cedar. He joins the company from Renaissance Australia, which was recently "integrated" with Cedar, and he will report to Mike Harrison, Cedar's CEO in the UK.
Prior to joining Renaissance two-and-a-half years ago, Pennington was senior sales manager at e-content and Web publishing company Interleaf.
He described Cedar as a software, services and management consulting organisation that has 1500 staff at 45 offices in 11 countries. Projects undertaken by Cedar range from delivery of individual business applications for local governments to global consulting projects on change management, Pennington claimed. "Cedar manufactures and delivers its own enterprise applications, and the company also has relationships with a range of enterprise software component companies," he added.
