RACV sues Unisys - seeks $9m damages

The Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) is suing global IT services giant Unisys for allegedly selling a defective software system to the vehicle insurance provider.

The RACV is seeking $9 million in damages from Unisys for allegedly selling the RACV a faulty $3.7 million computerised document retrieval system, aimed at moving the RACV from paper-based processing of contract bids from different companies to an electronic system, the Financial Review reported on February 6.
