Cost reduction remains the number one priority for CIOs and IT decision makers in the Asia-Pacific region, according to a Gartner survey undertaken in the past four weeks.
Results of the survey of 40 IT executives from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore will be released this week listing key priorities and challenges.
Cost reduction came in at 89 per cent, following by business productivity (80 per cent), increasing revenue targets (77 per cent), competitiveness (77 per cent) and pricing pressure (74 per cent).
CIOs also revealed that their Top Five IT issues are on-time project completion (89 per cent); budget constraints (77 per cent); cost effectiveness (74 per cent); workflow (74 per cent); and service level commitments (71 per cent).
The survey also asks respondents how satisfied they are with the reliability, availability and performance of their IT systems.
