Two managed service providers have revamped their security offerings to meet enterprise demand and foster a robust MSP industry.
RSA Security appointed managed security service provider Zento as an Advantage Partner. As a response to customer demand, Zento also launched its managed authentication service (MAS) based on RSA Security's e-Security solutions.
The service provides an outsourced two-factor authentication service for enterprise networks, operating systems, and other IT infrastructure using RSA SecurID and RSA ACE/Server technology. MAS ensures that only authorised users will have access to data, applications, networks and communications, a company spokesman said.
Zento chief executive Arthur Argyropoulos said: "We've found an increasing number of customers are looking for ways to outsource their authentication requirements."
RSA Security Australia's channel development manager, Chris Wood, said: "Australian organisations now have a heightened awareness of the importance of information security to their businesses."
Managed service provider Macquarie Corporate Telecommunications announced it has received an international information security certification.
Macquarie Corporate Telecommunications claims to be the first MSP in Australia to receive the British Standards Institute's BS7799 registration, an industry benchmark in information security.
