Largest Danish Real Estate player Chooses Innovation over Stagnation - Portrait Software automates marketing processes

Portrait Software has been selected by EDC, the leading Danish realtor group, to provide an automated campaign management solution delivered through their SaaS (Software as a Service) hosting model. This approach allows EDC to incrementally add new marketing functionality with minimal impact on internal resources. EDC says it will gain market share because of its increased productivity and more effective processes compared to its competitors, who are 'simply struck by paralysis or turning to more traditional measures, such as redundancies in order to survive the economic downturn'.

Portrait Software has been selected by EDC, the leading Danish realtor group, to provide an automated campaign management solution delivered through their SaaS (Software as a Service) hosting model. This approach allows EDC to incrementally add new marketing functionality with minimal impact on internal resources.

Portrait Campaign Manager will enable EDC to automate the process of gathering information on new customers, creating an online dialogue which reflects the need and wants of the customer, based on existing business models. Pre-defined and customized follow up is automated to provide personalized, relevant and meaningful communication to individual clients via multiple channels (primarily email and website but also SMS) allowing EDC to qualify customers and process their requirements more quickly and accurately. Ultimately leading to a higher volume of housing transactions and better qualified projects, and through this initiative, EDC is poised to achieve above industry average profitability.

“With Portrait’s solution for intelligent customer dialogue we will process a higher volume of property transactions per head count than the industry average. When house prices in the real estate market level out we believe EDC will gain market share because of its increased productivity and more effective processes compared to its competitors,” said Allan Orup Hansen, Online Manager.

EDC has gone against the economic tide by investing in technology and innovation as a key component of their recession busting strategy. The company aims to gain sustainable competitive advantage through smarter processes and more relevant customer communication for housing transactions. This is an aggressive move and quite atypical for the conservative housing industry.

“We see that many of our competitors are simply struck by paralysis or turning to more traditional measures, such as redundancies in order to survive the economic downturn. Of course we may not be able to avoid staff reductions but, for longer term survival and profitability, Portrait’s SaaS facility enables us to maintain business momentum and keep the organization lean” said Hansen.

Nearly 100 organizations globally, from a variety of industry sectors, have purchased Portrait Campaign Manager. Strategically important to today’s economic climate, Portrait Campaign Manager supports creative and compelling campaigns to address customer acquisition, loyalty, customer retention and cross-sell by ensuring that the right message reaches the right customer at the right time via the right channel.

“We are delighted to add EDC to our list of customers in Denmark, said Kieran Kilmartin, Group Marketing Director, Portrait Software. With Portrait Campaign Manager EDC will be able to automate manual marketing processes and react faster to customer needs with highly personalized communications, giving them a distinct advantage in this highly competitive industry sector. Marketers will be freed up from administration and can focus their efforts on creative and strategic initiatives that drive the greatest value. In a downturn economy marketers are tasked with achieving more with less resources, Portrait’s suite of marketing applications not only optimizes marketing efficiency but dramatically improves the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns”, he added.
